Disney has 4 different classifications of their resorts: Value, Moderate, Deluxe and Deluxe Villas. This post will focus on the Deluxe Villa resorts. There are 12 Deluxe Villa resorts: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House, Disney’s Beach Club Villas, Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary, Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows, The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Old Key West, Disney’s Saratoga Springs, Disney’s Riviera, Cooper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
If you have not read my previous blog entitled ‘Disney Deluxe Resorts’, I suggest you do that before continuing. I will not go into as much depth on the Villas as they are very similar to the deluxe resorts, the only difference is the room in which you will stay.
The rooms in these resorts tend to be much larger and feature a kitchen or kitchenette with separate sleeping area sofa to the bedroom. If you choose the option with the kitchen, these also feature a washing machine and dryer, perfect for those longer stays and bigger parties so you don’t need to pack as much when you come! The room’s general amenities will be the same in the Deluxe resorts as they are in the Deluxe Villas.
The merchandise locations at these resorts tend to sell more food items such as frozen pizza and chips as you have ovens and microwaves to prepare your own food. Just remember you will be paying Disney prices for the food but it may be cheaper than paying to get an Uber to the local Walmart, Target or Publix just for a small shop.
